In the midst of a civil war, a band of mages journey outside their magical realm into the Unkown Region to seek an ancient power they believe will end the bloodshed. But no mage who has travelled into the Unkown Region has ever returned, and they are not prepared for the horrors that await them.
But there is more to this new world then they realise, and discovering it's lost history with the mages may be the key to surviving this harsh landscape.
